Have you ever posted something on Twitter, only to watch it disappear into the void with barely any engagement? I’ve been there. I knew the content was good, but the timing just didn’t seem right.
That’s when I realized I needed a more strategic approach—one that involved
- posting at times when they were most active.
Let me share how I created a social media calendar based on my followers’ activity, and how you can do it too.
Why I Decided to Create a Social Media Calendar
It all started when I noticed that some of my tweets were getting more engagement than others, even though they were equally well-crafted. I knew there had to be more to it than just the content itself.
After a bit of research, I found that timing plays a crucial role in how well your posts perform. That’s when I decided to create a social media calendar that was aligned with my followers' activity patterns.
Here how you can create a social media calendar based on follower activity:
Step #1: Login to Your Circleboom Account
First things first, head over to Circleboom and log in to your account. If you don’t have an account yet, no worries! You can create one quickly—just follow the simple sign-up process.
Step #2: Connect Your Twitter Account
Once you’re logged in, you’ll need to connect your Twitter account to Circleboom. This allows the platform to analyze your followers' activities and interests, setting you up for success.
Step #3: Find the Best Times to Post
Now, let’s find out when your followers are most active. On the left-hand menu, click on "User Analytics," and then select "When Followers Are Online: Best Times to Post."
Circleboom will analyze your followers’ activity and provide you with a graph showing the optimal times for posting.
Step #4: Automatically Create Your Posting Calendar
At the top of the graph, you’ll see an option to "Pick All Best Times: Add to My Posting Queue Now!"
Click this, and Circleboom will automatically create a posting calendar for you, scheduling posts at the best times to maximize engagement.
Step #5: Analyze Your Followers’ Interests
Next, we need to figure out what your followers are interested in. Go back to the left-hand menu, under "User Analytics," and click on "Interest Cloud."
Circleboom will analyze what your followers are tweeting about and what topics they’re interested in, displaying this information in a cloud format.
Step #6: Identify Key Interests
From the Interest Cloud, pick out specific keywords that stand out. These keywords will be the foundation for the content you’ll create, ensuring it resonates with your audience.
Now, it’s time to create some engaging content. At the top of the screen, click on the "Generate AI Content Using My Interest Cloud" button. Circleboom’s AI will use the selected keywords to generate tailored tweets that align perfectly with your followers' interests.
Step #7: Generate AI Content Based on Interests
The social media image generator on Circleboom has 5 options: Canva, Unsplash, Giphy, Carousel Generator and Google Photos. You can also upload your own files to send them directly.
Canva is where you can curate and design images as you wish. You can apply ready-made templates, filters, effects, and other kinds of elements to edit your image.
Also, you can use Unsplash to find auto-generated, high-quality images to share on your Twitter accounts.
Giphy is where you can generate high-quality GIF images for your auto-generated tweets.
Step#8: The next station is the social media text generator.
Thanks to OpenAI integration, you can create auto-generated social media descriptions, captions, texts, and all kinds of texts enriched by AI-generated hashtags, emojis, and other extras like grammar checks or translations.
Let's assume that your followers are animal lovers. So, create a content for them.
You can define the style of your words, warmth, etc., on Circleboom Publish.
You can also enrich your auto-generated tweets with extras.
Step #9: Once you generate your tweets, you can share them immediately,
You can schedule them for the future.
The Result: A Well-Oiled Social Media Calendar!
By following these steps—analyzing follower activity, targeting interests, creating tailored content, and scheduling posts at optimal times—I was able to create a social media calendar that worked for me.
The difference in engagement was noticeable, with more likes, retweets, and interactions on my tweets.
