How to Share YouTube Shorts on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

. 6 min read

I spend a lot of my free time on YouTube Shorts. It’s where I find quick tutorials, funny content, and niche insights that keep me scrolling for hours. But one thing always stood out: many of these amazing Shorts weren’t being shared anywhere else. The creators posted only on YouTube—nothing on TikTok or Instagram Reels.

That gave me an idea. I could start theme pages on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook where I reposted some of the best Shorts I came across.

Of course, I planned to give full credit to the original creators in the captions and tags. This way, their work would reach more audiences, and I could grow communities around content I genuinely liked.

So I opened accounts on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I was ready to post. But then came the problem: YouTube doesn’t allow you to download Shorts directly. The “Save” button only lets you watch offline inside the YouTube app, not upload the video elsewhere.

That’s when I turned to Circleboom.

Why Circleboom’s YouTube Shorts Downloader

I tested a lot of video downloaders, and most had the same issues:

➡️ Too many ads and pop-ups.

➡️ Asking for money after a few downloads.

➡️ Very low-quality files that looked terrible on TikTok or Instagram.

Circleboom was different. It has a free YouTube Shorts downloader that lets you download videos in the highest quality available, with no ads and no hidden costs. For me, it’s easily the best tool out there.

How to Download YouTube Shorts with Circleboom

Here’s the simple step-by-step process I use:

Step #1: Find and copy the link of the YouTube Shorts video you want to download.

Tap the "Share" button under the Shorts video on the YouTube app or website.

Then, tap "Copy link" to copy the Shorts video URL.

Now, go to Circleboom’s YouTube Shorts Video Downloader and paste it.

Copy the link

Step #2: On Circleboom's YouTube Shorts Downloader page, you will see a text bar.

Paste the YouTube Shorts link into the bar, just like in the image below. Then, click on the "Download" button!

Paste the link

The available download options will appear below. If the video has multiple quality versions, they’ll all be listed.

In this example, there’s only one version—click “Right click to save” next to it.

Step #3: Your Shorts video will open in a new tab on your browser.

Click the three dots in the bottom corner of the video player to open the menu.

Click three dots

Then click “Download”, and that’s it! YouTube Shorts videos will be saved directly to your device.

You can now use it offline or share it on other platforms.

That’s it—you now have a clean, high-quality video file ready to repost.

Preparing the Video for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook

Once I had the file, I made a few small adjustments:

☑️ Check the format: Shorts are already vertical (9:16), which works perfectly for TikTok, Reels, and Facebook.

☑️ Length: Keep it under 60 seconds for best performance across all platforms.

☑️ Captions: Add subtitles if the video doesn’t already have them. Most people scroll with the sound off.

☑️ Credit: Always give credit to the original creator. I add their name or handle both on-screen and in the caption.

☑️ Cover image: For Instagram and Facebook, I export a strong thumbnail with bold text so it looks attractive in the feed.

Tips for Running Theme Pages

➡️ Pick a niche → Stick to a focused theme like travel hacks, cooking, crypto tips, or comedy.

➡️ Post consistently → 1–3 clips per day works well on TikTok and Reels.

➡️ Always credit creators → It builds trust and keeps you in good standing.

➡️ Batch work → Download 10–15 Shorts at once, then schedule them for the week.

➡️ Engage with comments → Reply fast, pin funny or insightful comments, and grow a community.

Final Thoughts

Sharing YouTube Shorts on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook is one of the easiest ways to bring great content to new audiences and grow themed communities. The problem is that YouTube doesn’t make downloading easy.

That’s why I use Circleboom’s free YouTube Shorts Downloader—it gives me the highest quality videos with no ads or hidden costs.

And to make posting simple, I rely on Circleboom Publish, which not only lets me upload once and share across platforms with a single click but also analyzes my followers’ activity to suggest the best posting times and generates AI-powered captions to save me even more time.

With this workflow, I can focus less on logistics and more on building pages, growing communities, and sharing content I love.
