Twitter has been my go-to platform for years—connecting with friends, sharing thoughts, and even building a bit of an audience.
Lately, I’ve been diving into Twitter Premium (now X Premium) to figure out if it’s worth shelling out cash for. I’m a data nerd at heart, so I was especially curious about what it could offer someone like me who loves tweaking posts based on performance.
After some experimenting, I’ve got thoughts to share about its perks, my own needs, and how I ended up finding a solution that fits me better.
What Is Twitter/X Premium?
Twitter Premium, or X Premium as it’s branded now, is a paid subscription that unlocks extra features for users.
It’s split into tiers—Basic, Premium, and Premium+. The pitch is straightforward: pay up, and you get tools and perks that free users miss out on, designed to boost your experience whether you’re a casual tweeter or a serious creator.
I was pretty curious when I first heard about it, so I decided to dig deeper into what it actually brings to the table.
The Benefits of Twitter Premium
So, what do you get with Twitter Premium? Here’s what stood out:
➡️ Verified Checkmark: That iconic blue tick next to your name, signaling authenticity. It’s a big draw for influencers or businesses wanting to look legit.
➡️ Analytics Access: Detailed breakdowns of your posts—impressions, likes, retweets, and follower growth. Perfect for a numbers geek like me.
➡️ Extra Perks: Things like posting longer tweets, seeing fewer ads, and having your replies prioritized in threads.
With all these goodies laid out, I started wondering if it might actually be worth the investment for someone like me.
Is it worth the Checkmark?
Here’s where things got interesting. If I was dead-set on getting that checkmark, Twitter Premium would absolutely be worth it—it’s the only legit way to snag one now.
For professionals or anyone building a public persona, that credibility could be a game-changer. I even daydreamed about sporting that blue tick myself for a moment.
But as I thought it over, I realized the checkmark wasn’t my priority—I wasn’t chasing status, I was chasing insights. That realization shifted my focus and made me question whether Premium was the right fit for what I actually wanted.
My Experience: Just Wanting Analytics!
What I really craved was analytics. I’m the kind of person who loves seeing how my tweets perform—it’s how I figure out what clicks with my followers. But Twitter’s decision to lock those stats behind Premium for free users threw me off.
Paying for a whole subscription just to peek at my numbers felt like overkill, especially since the checkmark and other extras weren’t things I’d use.
So, I started hunting for a way to get those insights without committing to the full Premium package.
That’s when my search led me to an alternative that turned out to be a total game-changer.
Circleboom Twitter: My Better Option
Enter Circleboom Twitter, an official Twitter/X partner that I stumbled across. What really won me over about Circleboom Twitter was its post analytics.
As someone who thrives on data, I was blown away by how detailed and user-friendly its analytics tools are.
Circleboom doesn’t just give you the basics like impressions, likes, and retweets—it goes above and beyond with insights like follower demographics, best posting times, and even engagement trends over time.
These are metrics Twitter Premium doesn’t even offer, and they’ve been a game-changer for understanding what resonates with my audience.
But Circleboom isn’t just about analytics—it’s packed with other features that make managing your Twitter account a breeze.
Here’s what else stood out to me:
🫂 Follow//Unfollow Tool: This makes it super easy to clean up my follower list. I can quickly identify and remove non-followers or spot fake accounts, which helps keep my audience authentic and engaged.
🔍︎ Advanced Search: Finding new people to connect with has never been easier. I can search by keywords, hashtags, or even location, making it a powerful tool for growing my network.
🗑︎ Bulk Tweet Deletion: If I ever need to clean up my timeline, Circleboom lets me delete old tweets in bulk. It’s perfect for maintaining a polished profile without spending hours manually deleting posts.
After using Circleboom, I realized it was the perfect fit for me—offering the analytics I craved, plus a suite of tools that made managing my Twitter account simpler and more efficient.
How to Use Circleboom Twitter: My Step-by-Step Guide
Getting started with Circleboom was a breeze, and here’s how I did it:
Step #1: Log into Circleboom and connect your X account if this is your first time.

Step #2: Navigate to the Analytics Menu ⬅️
From the left-hand menu, click on the "Analytics" tab, then select "Post Analytics". Within Post Analytics, you will see several options. ➡️
Step #2: The first option here, "Post Analytics Overview & Graphs" gives you an aggregate lookout of your performance.
Here, you can see many different details regarding the engagement levels of your posts. You can also play with the metrics from the top left and change the date range from the top right.
Step #3: If you go for "Post Engagement Analytics", you can see the same metrics, but this time for each tweet individually.
On this screen, you can also filter tweets by many variables such as impressions, like count, click counts, profile visits, date, etc.
Step #4: Last but not least comes the "Video Analytics". This part is specifically designed for your tweets that have a video, as they require more specific metrics to be tracked.
You can see an aggregate performance graph at the beginning, followed by individual tweets. Filters work here also.
Wrapping It Up
Looking back, Twitter Premium is a solid choice if you’re after that checkmark or want its full lineup of features. For me, though, it didn’t quite line up. I just wanted analytics, and shelling out for extras I wouldn’t touch didn’t make sense.
Circleboom Twitter stepped in and gave me everything I was after—top-notch analytics, plus a slew of handy tools—at a price that felt way more reasonable. If you’re like me and want insights and control without the hefty cost, I’d say give Circleboom a look.
